We are a four piece whose members have worked professionally with the best Czech musical talent (Marie Rottrová, Buty, Vlasta Redl, Boris Urbánek, etc.).
Performing the classics of rock and roll --- from Elvis Presley, the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to Tom Petty and the Pulp Fiction movie soundtrack – with rollicking passion, the band’s skillful performance of a repertoire numbering nearly 100 songs is founded on a love and deep knowledge of this music.
Energy, excitement, lighthearted abandon, fun … all the traits that has consistently made such music so appealing and easy to dance to.
Providing vibrant performances of carefully-selected songs that can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours and a stage presentation that can be specifically tailored in Czech, English, German and/or Polish, the Neo Chess Sunny Rock and Roll Band is ideal for dancing balls, corporate events, V.I.P. and teambuilding activities, as well as club and festival performances or weddings.
And the unusual name of the band?
Neo Chess Sunny...?
Here is a clue: Chess Records and Sun Records were the two most important early rock and roll record labels in the USA. The former originally represented primarily African-American blues performers (e.g. Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Bo Diddley), the latter „discovered“ the giants of early rockabilly including Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and Johnny Cash. Sadly, both labels eventually fell into decline. Luckily, they left a wonderful legacy of musical gems that, with a little repolishing, continue to shine brightly and delightfully into the future.
